Dear Mr. Kul:
As the first year for Stars Middle School draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of my thoughts and feelings about Mr. Karapinar. Mr. Karapinar was my daughter Alana’s homeroom teacher for the first half of the year and her science teacher all year.
I am sure you must realize that you have a very gifted and dedicated teacher in Mr. Karapinar. He gave his all to our children in a consistent and continuous manner from the very beginning. I recall meeting him at the open house where we were first introduced to the staff of Stars Middle School. I was compelled by his passion to teach and reach these children and his passion to make science fun, real, and interactive. He organized numerous picnics, lock-ins, science events, the science fair, and the Science Olympiad. He made himself available every single day with a club or tutoring opportunity. He gave up many weekends and holidays to give his time for our children. He always made himself available when we had concerns about our daughter. He kept us informed and responded quickly whenever we had a question. His talents and commitment to the students and families of Stars Middle School are very exemplary.
I am especially impressed by his compassion and the support he gave my daughter. Although she repeatedly tried his patience, he provided consistent, gentle encouragement to help her succeed. He provided numerous opportunities to help her grow and show the talents he could see in her, even though she was having a great deal of difficulty believing in herself. I can see a tremendous change in her attitude and confidence, and it is largely due to Mr. Karapinars persistence.
If every teacher showed his courage and compassion, as well as his passion for the success of each student, we would have the most incredible, talented, and successful future to look forward to. Mr. Karapinar is a truly a gifted and talented teacher. We are so blessed to have him helping our children at Stars Middle School. Mr. Karapinar contributed overwhelmingly to the success of this school year. I can see Stars being a premier school of choice as long as we continue to have Mr. Karapinar and the other teachers at Stars driving the path to success for our middle school children.
Please accept my most sincere thanks. Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to coming back next fall. God bless you.
Sincerely,
Teri Miner

Dear Mr. Kul:
As the first year for Stars Middle School draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of my thoughts and feelings about Mr. Tekin. Mr. Tekin was my daughter Alana’s math teacher this year and her math lab and computer teacher for the second semester.
I am sure you must realize that you have a very gifted and dedicated teacher in Mr. Tekin. He continuously gave his all to our children in a consistent manner from the very beginning. I recall meeting him at the first open house where we were introduced to the staff of Stars Middle School. I was compelled by his passion to teach and reach these children and his intention to make math fun, real, and interactive. For a school built on the premise that math and science are the benchmarks for its success, you could not have chosen a more perfect teacher for math. Mr. Tekin made himself available every single day with a club or tutoring opportunity. He gave up many weekends and holidays to give his time for our children. He involved himself in the extra curricular activities, sometimes even when they were not math related, like the lock-ins and the Science Olympiad.
Mr. Tekin always made himself available when we had concerns about our daughter. He kept us informed and responded quickly whenever we had a question. I am especially impressed by his compassion and the support he gave my daughter. Although she often tried his patience, he provided consistent, gentle encouragement to help her succeed. I am sure he was instrumental in ensuring that Alana was placed in the math lab and computer during the second semester, because he knew she would benefit from them. He was not only correct, but he was there teaching her, and using the opportunity to further encourage her success and help her start to face her fear and reluctance to really learn math. Math has been her most challenging subject throughout her school experience, but I believe she has made a positive transition to start to believe she can do it, and this is due to Mr. Tekin. He provided numerous opportunities to help her grow and show the talents he could see in her, even though she was having a great deal of difficulty believing in herself. His persistence, patience and compassion helped foster a tremendous change in Alana’s attitude and confidence. Mr. Tekins talents and commitment to the students and families of Stars Middle School are very exemplary. If every teacher showed his courage and compassion, as well as his passion for the success of each student, the sky could not limit the future of this generation. Mr. Tekin is a truly a gifted and talented teacher. We are so blessed to have him helping our children. Mr. Tekin contributed overwhelmingly to the success of this school year. I can see Stars being a premier school of choice as long as we continue to have Mr. Tekin and the other teachers at Stars driving the path to success for our middle school children.
Please accept my most sincere thanks. Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to coming back next fall. God bless you.
Sincerely,

A successful learning experience for the students. The staff at Star’s has worked exceptionally hard! The experiences that Chance has incurred this year has made a drastic change in his attitude and ability
to be responsible. I appreciate the quick responses from the teachers, and their hands on attitudes. I hope in the future that Star’s will become a High School, for the first year of Star’s Middle

We thoroughly appreciate every one of the teachers at STARS - for they all seem to have the student's best interest at heart. We love the small class sizes and the ‘family' feel of the school. We appreciate the rapid response from teachers if there is an issue in class with our son and the ability to be able to correct the situation before it escalates.
Caleb's grades significantly improved this year due to his attendance at STARS and we think the teaching style of STARS educators are whole heartily the explanation. He loves the school, shows pride in his accomplishments (as well as the schools) and brags about it to other students who are not attending.
All in all - there's not one thing I would change about STARS - other than making it continue to high school!

You succeeded in creating a first rate staff to contribute to Stars success. You have some exceptional teachers and support staff that give consistent, courteous and uplifting encouragement to our children. You managed to make the first year of the school extremely impressive in every way from your website, to your staff, to your efficient careful planning of every event. We came from another charter school and started in it's first year until its 6th and they still do not have half of the basics together anywhere close to how you did. I am proud to have my daughter be a part of your school.
You contributed overwhelmingly to the success of this school year. I can see Stars being a premier school of choice as long as we continue to have you and the other teachers and staff at Stars driving the path to success for our middle school children. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. God bless you.
