CMP and Science Olympiad students will take a field trip to CHALLENGER LEARNING CENTER on Monday afterschool, December 12, 2011.Students will watch a special one-time presentation in IMAX Theatre and will have the opportunity to try their hand at landing the shuttle in the FSU shuttle simulator.
The Salvation Army needs your help! Please participate in the “Project Joy†Food Drive to provide food baskets at Christmas for needy families in Leon, Wakulla, and Gadsden counties.

The school-wide science fair competition is rescheduled to Monday December 12th. The projects will be displayed and judged on that day to determine the regional fair contestants.
Our school-wide Spelling Bee will be held on Tuesday, December 13th. The class winners will compete on that day to represent our school at the regional bee.
We had FSU's "Science on the Move" show last Tuesday at the school. It was a very fun and educational show for everyone.
We will continue to have the Saturday FCAT study on December 10 from 9am to 12pm.
Our bi-monthly Governing Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 6pm in the cafeteria.

We would like to inform you about an opportunity we are offering at SMS to increase your student’s success in the FCAT tests. Our Science, Math and Reading departments have designed an FCAT practice and review program that will take place on Saturdays.Your student is strongly encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. Each week will focus on a different strand of review. The study session is from 9am to 12pm on the scheduled dates below.
