In the search for a reform to improve mathematics and science teaching, community and the educators who are committed to establish Stars Middle School (SMS) decided to adopt
The Connected Mathematics Project 2 (CMP2) and
The Foundational Approaches in Science Teaching (FAST) models for math and science teaching at SMS. Both of these programs are identified as "exemplary" by the U.S. Department of Education. To learn more please visit their official websites by clicking on the links.
SMS shall also provide all of the middle school courses currently being offered in other Leon County Schools, such as Language Arts, Social Studies, Art, PE etc.
